I'm sharing this photo mostly because it captures a very rare phenomenon - Mary at rest. She is one of those people who have trouble sitting still and just relaxing. There always seems to be something that needs doing - if it isn't some obscure bit of housework, it's going through the MLS hotsheet, doing a craft project for our granddaughters, making lists, doing things on lists, or worrying about what she forgot to put on the list. More than 5 minutes of inactivity is about the limit - then she starts feeling guilty about being lazy. (One of the secrets of our successful marriage is my ability to watch all this from a comfortable chair without feeling guilty myself, matched with Mary's willingness to tolerate me doing that).
With all of the effort that went into the usual real estate stuff, getting ready for Thanksgiving (including showing a couple of homes Thanksgiving morning), eating ourselves into food-induced comas, and cleaning up the debris, it's been an exhausting week for Mary, and it finally caught up with her today - she's been down and out for a couple of hours now.
The less said about the dogs, the better. There is absolutely nothing remarkable or different about what they're doing or where they're doing it - just business as usual.
