Christmas Traditions: Cinnamon Rolls

I have already told you about my #1 Favorite Christmas Tradition -- Stockings! My second favorite Christmas Tradition is Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast.

Christmas Tradition: Cinnamon Rolls

My sweet husband started this Christmas Tradition. He always makes cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning and we eat them with our morning coffee while we open our stockings.

It’s amazing how these little things get started....

But once they do....

the tradition MUST continue!

Hi Joni: Is the recipe posted anywhere or would you care to share it? I remember when I was younger going to a restaurant called "Freebies" in Fort Collins, Colorado - the cinnamon rolls there home made, big as a large plate and more affordable than the eggs and toast! : )

Hi Joni,

We have a similar tradition. My daughter loves the Orange rolls that you buy in the refrigerated section and bake and frost. Once we forgot to buy them and she went all over town, then the next town over and finally found a package in Redlands at the local market Albertson's. Poor little girl, she drove to about 10 stores until she found them open and stocked with rolls. I will never forget again.

Cinnamon Rolls is a great morning tradition.

Bringing you home...

I made cinnamon rolls for our Christmas Eve brunch last year. Yummy! But, as the tradition goes it will probably be something different this year.... our tradition (of late) is to celebrate my brother's with a brunch to start the two days worth of holiday!

That looks so good!  Do you have Cinnabon places down by you?  When you walk by them here the smell just draws you in!

This sounds like a great way to start Christmas day. Coffee and a huge cinnamon roll might be a tradition that some of our AR friends might think about making their own this year. I might need to practice up a little before then just to make sure I do this properly by Christmas.

What a coincidence... cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning is a tradition in our home, too! Although I get them ready before the kids come downstairs and let them rise while we open presents then we cook and eat them. Oh, and thanks alot... your photo made me hungry.

Jordon: mmmm... I can smell it too! ☺

Angel: We go the easy route! Pillsbury GRANDS Cinnabon! Preheat over, pop open, put on cookie sheet, bake and ice! YUM!

Kristin: I have never seen the orane ones. Now I will have to see if we have those too!

Ronald: I know! I am looking for you guys to share your traditions as well. Who knows, we may start new traditions with all of the ideas pouring out!

Roger: Come on down. I'll make you a stocking, stuff it, and Ricky will make you a cinnamon roll! :)

Anita: I have never made monkey bread! Maybe when I have grandchildren!

Lindsey: MMmmm.... brunch with brothers sounds like a good plan to me! ♥

Joan: We go to the early service at church. I have TWO girls go get ready (me and TPM) in the morning. We'd never make it to church if we had breakfast, too! LOL

John: You mean you didn't make breakfast for your beautiful bride? WHAT's up with that?! LOL!

Dawn: Do! :)))

Belinda: What is your favorite Christmas tradition?!

Debra: I grew up in Dallas and we had one in the mall when I used to manage the El Chico there. YUM! You're right... the smell takes your prisoner!

LOL @ Doug!!

Gretchen: Yours are home made. SSSSsssshhhh.... don't tell my family! LOL!

Cinnamon rolls are nice, but my Cinnamon makes French Toast that soaks overnight in the cream, eggs and cinnnamon and is then covered in syrup and pecans, baked and topped with homemade whipped cream.  She doesn't eat it, but boy can she bake it!

Mmmmmm! Cinnamon rolls sound so good right now! That is so neat that your husband makes them for you Christmas morning. We started a new tradition for Christmas morning breakfast - French Toast! My daughter makes it baked in the oven and it's sooooo good!
