Which Sunset Photo Do You Prefer? - Speechless Sundays

D

Lovely Newport Beach Sunset

I feel so fortunate to live where I do.  I don't know the number of sunsets I've seen in my life.  I have lived on or near Newport Beach, CA most of my life and still love the sunsets.

When I was on Santorinia in Greece several years ago, we were told we had to go to one area to watch a sunset.  As spectacular as it was, nothing for me tops the ones here.

So, this weekend I was out taking photos and can't make up my mind on a few of them, so I decided to put it out to my AR family.

What do you think?  Which one is your favorite?

Christine, Needed an E all of the above answer!  They are all gorgeous shots!  I would probably pickp B for me favorite of the 4, but they are all stunning!

I'm fond of the first one too!  But the last one gives a feeling of finality to the day.  There is something about those final seconds when the sun dips down below the horizon that are simply magical.

Tony and Darcy  -#! Maybe that was my problem in making the choice ; )

Myrl -  Watching the sun go down over the ocean really does bring a great ending to the day.

Christine,

My vote is the second one (B). I like the bird taking us away from the center that actually anchors the sun. :)

C for me!  I like the cool blue water contrasting with the warm orange of the setting sun. D is a close second choice as the afterglow is a glorious moment just before darkness arrives.

Sorry, Christine - I love them all!  My kids used to call me Sunset Suzi because when we lived in Orange County I used to go out to the beach frequently just to watch or photograph the sunset.

Susan - I love the nickname.  The sunsets are one of the reasons I love where we live.  Of course, there are too many other reasons to name. ; )

Definitely A, the colors are much more vivid and the birds seem to make for a better composition.  Great shots.

I'll vote for C.  But I think the horizon needs to be leveled.  Sometimes I'm out snapping away, then get home to look at my photos, only to relize the my world must be on a perpetual slant.  Go figure!!!
