Active and Inactive License Status

 Voluntary Inactive: 

  • When a licensee has applied to the Department to be placed on inactive status and has paid the fee Involuntary Inactive:       
  • When a license is not renewed at the end of the license period

 

A license must be Active to engage in real estate services. 

                 -  An active status is achieved by finding an  employer and registering with the DBPR.         

        Licensees who choose not to engage in the real estate business may place their license on inactive status. 

-There are two types of inactive status

  voluntary inactive and involuntary inactive
