Today we bid a not-so-fond farewell to Barney Frank. He is announcing today that he will not seek re-election in 2012, after 30 plus years in Congress.
Franks for the memories, Barney…and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
We appreciate how you completely screwed the mortgage industry, the housing markets, and of course, the financial markets. Your brilliant actions cost the county over a TRILLION dollars bailing out your friends at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, made millions of homeowners nationwide lose trillions of dollars in equity, and of course, lets not forget all the foreclosures and how hard it is to get a mortgage loan today because of your actions.
After all that, you and your "partners" will walk away with a big fat congressional retirement plan and a completely seperate healthcare system than the one you shoved down our throats!
