Well, here we are the cold is here again.  But before it starts to get really cold, I was fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of one last butterfly.  This Red Admiral was kind enough to stay perched on my dying marigolds while I ran inside to grab my camera.

I guess I can't complain too much about the weather.  At least we actually had fall this year instead of going straight from warm summer temperatures to freezing cold snow as it seems we do so often.  :)

That is beautiful, it makes me sad to think that I don't notice this on a daily basis. I sometimes catch a glimpse of something in passing, but that sight really is something.

Hi Chanda,  I love anything which reminds me of the changing of the seasons.  Much more pronounced in Michigan than here in southwest Florida though !

I'm shocked that you have flowers in color and any butterflies at all to enjoy them.  It's likely to be awhile before you see a revisit of those winged ones.

This is a stunning picture, Chanda.  Look at those amazing colors.  This should carry you through winter.

Oh wow, sorry I didn't realize I was receiving comments on my post.  Looks like AR's notification is on the fritz again.

Bud/Beth - I find the older I get, the more nature absolutely amazes me.  Just looking at squirrels playing a game of chase, or a hummingbird in a flower puts a genuine smile on my face.

Myrl - that pic was taken a couple of weeks ago...Unfortunately there is no color left.  I cleaned everything out this past weekend since it was in the upper 50's.  Yesterday...Snow.  :)

Jane - that's a good idea...I should refer back to this picture when the winter weather gets me down.  The colors are beautiful.

Thanks to everyone for stopping by!

Chanda, surprising you got that shot so late in the year. You must've had pretty warm temps this year.
