The New Jersey based communications company Avaya has announced it plans to hire 135 people over the next four years. The company plans to invest $500,000 to expand and consolidate a supply chain center in Durham.
The new jobs will pay an average of $87,000 a year. Avaya is a global provider of communications solutions enabling business users to improve their efficiency and quickly solve critical business challenges. It has many of the Fortune 500 companies as customers and has clients in multiple industries.
Avaya plans to consolidate order processing functions widely distributed across North America into their North Carolina facility. Avaya intendes to open a sales center of excellence including a new video collaboration studio which will support the companies newest video and collaboration solutions. The company currently employs 300 people in North Carolina.
