E-Mail Commandments.
Vern Eaton had such a great post I had to re-blog.
The commandment I like best is: Thou shalt not forward any chain letter.
Please take the hint.
I am not a great computer guy, but I am getting better. But there seams to be many unwritten rules. here are a few I have run across...
E-Mail Commandments
Thou shalt include a clear and specific subject line.
Thou shalt edit down and quoted text to the minimum thou needest,
Thou shalt read own message thrice before sendest it.
Thou shalt ponder how thy recipient might react to thy message.
Thou shalt check thy spelling and thy grammar.
Thou shalt not curse, flame, spam or USE ALL CAPS.
Thou shalt not forward any chain letter.
Thou shalt not rely on the privacy of E-Mail especially from work.
Thou shalt not us E-Mail for any illegal or unethical purpose.
When in doubt, save thy message overnight and reread it by the light of the dawn.
And the Golden Rule of E-Mail:
That thou finds hateful to receive, sendest thou not unto others.
I think I have a much better grasp now!
