My feeling is HR 3915 is plain old bad for consumers.  I went to http://www.petitiononline.com and signed the petition against it.  I'd be curious if others on AR have done the same?

I did sign in.  It is an issue that will affect everyone if it goes through.

HR 3915, The Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act of 2007, was introduced by Barney Frank, (D-MA).  The bill boils down to outlawing YSP for brokers, while banks are still allowed to benefit from it.

Here are two locations to read it:  http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=110_cong_bills&docid=f:h3915ih.txt.pdf; http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h110-3915

Here's the MBA's press release entitled MBA's Senior Vice President Kurt Pfotenhauer Testifies On H.R. 3915 -- The Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act of 2007

Hope that helps, Sandy!

Why do I feel like I have a target on my shirt every monring?  BofA's withdrawal from the wholesale market makes my paranoid conspiracy theory meter go up.
