12 Comments on Why Hasn't My Home Sold? It Might Be Your Agent
Good morning, Scott....that's total abuse to a seller....that agent should be reprimanded for that type of service....or lack thereof.
Scott, A world of difference between the two agents! No wonder the 2nd has her unit under contract.
Scott, it is amazing at times the items agents leave off their listings that SURELY would sell them. Answering your phone does help sell properties, even on Sunday! Great post Scott!
Scott, I put coded lockboxes on my units and do require a call to myself, or my associate for the code. That way, like agent number 2, I have the opportunity to sell the listing to another agent. Discuss options, discuss the market, discuss upcoming business, both mine and theirs. I always answer my phone, and if I happen to be unavailable to call back immediately, I will text the code instantly. Listing agents make a difference!
Oh so frustrating when we are trying to just do our jobs. So many details that we need to be on top of.
I think it's just a shame that the seller probably doesn't have a clue that their agent isn't on top of selling their listing. How absolutely frustrating that you can't even get a simple code to get into the gate. At least another agent was able to help you out and thereby save the original agent.
Sad...
True true true...I think we all can share in this frustration at some point in our careers..no excuse in my opinion!
We do know how to Church in Texas -- and I am available to work from 10:45-4:45 in between and after 7:30 that night! That is CRAZY!!!
We have agents who will list homes with ZERO pictures. Imagine feeding a listing to the Internet with zero photos. Go figure...
Hi Scott. I have a listing that just won't sell but I'm hoping it's not me. I just uploaded a tour of the community and am praying that it sparks a little interest.
Scott I wish the real estate agents around here were like number two. And can somebody also explain to me why some loan officers dont like to pick up the telephone as well? Unbelievable.
Hey Scott, the obvious consistent way to insure good success in this business is to be on top of your game like Agent 2. If you're not available in person, figure out a way to get the information to interested agents. Good post and thanks for sharing. Best of success to you in 2012!
