November Newbie Challenge....Introducing 3 Very Special Newbies to Active Rain!
Karen Bernetti has written an excellent post featuring three ActiveRain "newbies." I didn't even know there was a contest, but I do know this is a great idea - welcoming a "newbie" to AR. When I first joined AR on the recommendation of a few other agents and stagers, I had no idea the amount of information I would learn and the great contacts I have made. With the help of members like Karen Bernetti and all of us, we can help the ActiveRain community grow.

Introducing 3 Very Special Newbies to Active Rain.....November Newbie Challenge
As part of the November Newbie Challenge - I've chosen a few new Active Rainers to introduce you to today. I wasn't exactly sure how to go about choosing who I'd feature in my post, so I visited the Newbie Site - which I didn't even know existed - and started randomly clicking on the member profiles of those who just joined during the month on November.
I have to admit, those who had photos with cute kids caught my eye first.....what can I say? I'm a mom and I LOVE kids! Once I got past the photos, I stumbled upon a few new members who touched my heart in a special way (something I've come to expect here in The Rain).
Please allow me to introduce to you to.....
Christian Quiero, a fellow HOME STAGER from Saratoga Springs, Utah. In his very first post he tells us, I will work for Food.
All I can say is WOW!! I too am a BIG believer in Karma and I love how Christian incorporates helping the less fortunate so seamlessly into his staging business. What he's doing to help feed the hungry is absolutely wonderful. I only wish I thought of this fabulous idea!
There's no doubt in my mind, Christian is going to fit in BEAUTIFULLY here at Active Rain - where I've been so fortunate to have met some of the kindest, most generous people on the planet.
Christian, welcome to Active Rain. Keep your heart open and you and your business WILL flourish here as a result - I just know it!
The second new member I stumbled upon was Melanie Scott. She caught my attention because she's a Realtor from my parents' home town of Newton Massachusetts. I also have a very dear friend who is a Newton fire fighter.
With her attitude of gratitude, Melanie sure speaks MY language...she had me at "thankful inspiration"! In her first post, she tells us how grateful she is for her adorable little boy and the inspiration he gives her. Oh how I miss those days when my boys were that cute and little.....but I digress.
In her second post, Melanie shares her gratitude for the beautiful (and I do mean beautiful) town she lives in. I know she is going to LOVE IT here.
Melanie, welcome! Keep up the great work. You've come to the right place. I'm sure you will find many like-minded people who will truly appreciate you and all you have to share as much as I do.
The third new member I "met" today was Bernadette Carlos-Santos. She is a REO and Short Sale Consultant from South San Francisco, California.
I think I've discovered a future Active Rain Ambassador folks. Bernadette hasn't posted much YET, but I can tell from the posts she has chosen to re-blog that she GETS IT! How can I be so sure?
First of all it's obvious, she's eager to learn. Second, she's already sharing what she learns with the rest of us....now that sure sounds like a recipe for success to me!
Bernadette, welcome! I encourage you to keep on following the advice of great people like Cara Marcelle Mancuso and Ben Kinney. No doubt you'll be well on your way to success here in The Rain. I have a feeling we're all going to be learning from YOU very soon!

Trust me you won't be disappointed. They all bring a unique style, warmth, creativity and genuine caring to the Active Rain community.

I encourage you to read this post because truly the best advice comes from the 100+ comments I received! Read them and you will get quite an education! I do hope this post gives you the courage and the motivation you need to get started - which is surely the hardest part!
A great big THANK YOU goes out to Jerry Newman for initiating this challenge. I have to admit, initially I was motivated to participate purely for the points (trying to make it to 200,000 by the end of the month). Who knew I would meet 3 new members that would touch my heart in such a special way. I just love it here in The Rain! Now if I could just figure out a way to spend more time here.....
