Joni: How about "Happy" since he's got a nice smile? Thanks for sharing- you are a very nice person to take such good care of your mom!
Ron: If I were picking, I love Pixel!!!
Andrew: My mom is an amazing woman! I am very blessed to have her with me!!
That adorable little guy looks like and Alfie to me!
Love what you are doing with Mom. Great talking with you today.
Margaret
I've always liked the name Elwood for a stuffed animal or elf. I'll give CA a call and see if Zoe has one she can suggest too! Hugs to you and TPM!
Joni, I am so sorry you and your family are dealing with that. My mother in law had dimentia and didn't recognize family members. It was so difficult for everyone. You are doing the right thing by keeping your mom engaged and keeping her mind stimulated. My vote is for "Miracle the Elf" because life is truly a miracle at times...... well all the time.
Joni it was Empy sounds like Empie not Empty now I changed my mind to Elmer or George. I was under the influence this morning as I was blogging while waiting to have a dang colonoscope (sp) It's better to laugh than cry is right. Debbie and I waltz in the Alzheimer's unit where Dad is laughing and acting crazy and get all the patience attention playing and acting silly with all of them. They are a joy to us and we pray we are to them. Dad is the worse one in the unit and he is past interaction now. Just so sad. Sometimes we leave the Butterfly ward ........get to the truck and sit in silence. It's just overwhelming at times. So anyway.... Elmer or George it is for me!
Margaret: ♥ ♥ ♥ Thank you for calling!
Tish: Oh yes! We need Zoe's suggestion!! She is very good at naming Elves!
Belinda: No need to be sorry. TPM is a happy camper most of the time. As long as momma is happy, Joni is happy!I
Q: Elmer is cute too! You just never know when they may have that moment and KNOW. So keep on keeping on ~ and trust that you are bringing them JOY! There is a reason for them to still be with us. Whether we know it or not, they STILL have a job to do.... or Christ would have called them home. Our job right now is to honor our mother and father. :) You are doing your part! ♥
Joni, how about Andy? He looks like Andy Griffith (maybe it's the ears) to me. Also, how do you make a heart in your comments? There are so many times I would like to include one in my comments, but don't know how. :)
Rose: I will add Andy to the list. TPM is here at the office with me right now. I keep telling her the names and she giggles. My managing broker added Clyde and hubby added Theodore. HA!! The heart: Hold down the ALT key and at the same time press the 3 key on the 10 digit key pad. It will not work if your keyboard does not have a 10 key numerical pad.
Hi Joni, your ost about your beautiful mother makes my heart sing. I also enjoy having my 88yo mother with me and feel so blessed. I read and shared your post with her and her suggestion for this little elf's name is POOF. I asked her why and she related that an elf is quick and can disappear right before your eyes. They are magical little beings. Give your mother a big hug!!
Joni, It was a delight speaking with you.♥ ♥ ♥
Rose, I use "alt +3 " to get the ♥
Hi Joni, My kids just named their Elf on the Shelf PEPPERMINT. They are having so much fun!!!! There are so many great names out there for an Elf.... I am sure you will find a great one.
A suggestion for you is Twinkle, Sugar, Candy Cane, Spritz, Cheer, Snowy
Judith: Awww.... POOF is cute! I am going to write all of the names down and then read them to her. If that doesn't work, I will put them all in a bowl and let her draw one, but we are nameing this thing TONIGHT! LOL
Margaret: Thank you! ♥
Amy: I have my favorites, but it is not my elf, so I am going to try not to influence her. HA!!! Rick is trying... he likes Theodorea (WHAT?!!) BAHAhahahahaHA!
Joni ~ Elf would be someone that TPM loves and why does it have to be a boy's name?? We think the Elf should be called Joanie (Joni) but if you insist on a boy then it should be Jonas....
I'm probably too late to submit a name, but I'd call him "L'il Dude"....................he's just too cute.
Hi there Joni, this is a sweet story. You and your momma are very lucky to have each other. As for the elf, how about Ears (since he is all ears), Stripes (his tights) or Whisper (sitting on her shoulder, she can tell him her thoughts and ideas).
Jacque & Larry
Joni, he is cute. How about George? Also you can check this link and have some fun with Elf's names.
Okay... we finally had to put all the names in a container and let her draw. She drew Andy. So it's Andy the Elf!!
Thanks for sharing the photo! I love the Elf!
Best wishes for a Very Merry Christmas :) :)
You're welcome, John! :)))
