Last night my husband, Gare, and I were riding the escalator down to baggage claim at Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport when I saw an ad for this web site: Learn more about the Super Bowl this year being played right here in Glendale, Arizona!
I'm proud of our new football stadium, University of Phoenix Stadium. Perhaps you've heard about the natural turf that is rolled in from outside for a game?
If you have any questions about Phoenix or Glendale, please ask me. Your question doesn't have to be real estate specific. If I don't know the answer, I'll get it for you. (I'm a REALTOR and would be open to talking with you to help you find or sell a home too.)
This past weekend Gare and I had been in Napa Valley. Harvest season was last month (October) and the vines were bare. The leaves on the vines and trees were turning gold, burnt orange, and rust colors. It was gorgeous. I was raised in northern Illinois and at this time of year miss the changing colors of autumn.
We enjoyed a wine tastings at some of the wineries. Fransiscan, Rutherford, Alpha Omega and Diamond Oaks. My favorites were a wonderful Cabernet Sauvingon and Merlot blend at Fransiscan, and the yummy 100% Cab at Rutherford Hill.
We were even treated to a Wine Cave Dinner at Rutherford. If you ever have the opportunity to go, I would highly recommend it!
Speaking of wine, did you know that Arizona has a wine region near Tucsan that is home to several wineries? We do! Learn more about Arizona Wine here. Each year the quality of our wine improves. One of my favorite local wineries is Kokopelli Winery. Go there to try some of their delicious varietals and don't forget to nosh! They've got a great selection of nosh plates to pair with the wine.
Salute' !

It's true. There are some grapes that do well out here, and there are some nice wines as a result. Great topic Margo.
