Increasing the hits on my website

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

I have been trying to increase the hits on both of my websites.

I have been advertising them on my business card, post cards, for sale signs and multiple websites. (craigs list, postlets, backpage, citypaper, are only a few.)

My Broker explains to me NOT to put too much information out there. His philosophy is that you want them to contact you. The Fish & Hook tactic.

I was giving Price, Address, lots of Pictures and full discription.

Tough call. I used to be that way. Minimum info - make them call. After a while though, after getting tired of talking with a lot of people who had no intention, or no ability, of buying a home, I went back to giving all of the info. I figure that if it is good info, and it is presented well, and they can or want to buy, they will move forward. I am jsut way to busy to talk to every single tire kicker out there. My life has gotten much easier since I made the change.

Another way that I look at it. My responsibility is to my client. I promise to advertise their home agressively. If I hold back info in order to get buyersor phone calls, am I meeting my responsibilty to them? What if by holding back a piece of info, it is the one piece of info that would have made them call in the first place?

There are some good marketing reasons to not give so much info in print media, but for us, we find that the web users like to receive as much as possible... as quickly as possible...

I do want to say that so called "Tire Kickers" often turn into clients, if only perhaps months down the road... we nurture these, as much as possible with automated systems, but with the personal touch as well... it usually pays off, if you consider one deal from a previous tire kicker each month paying off...

This used to be the way, capture the information and you will capture the client.  But those who are successful on the internet now are not afraid to release the information.  If you don't- someone else will, and will be conceived as the real estate expert in your market area.
