I was observing recently the difference in the look of agents who have photos with their referrals. Many of us list the quotes from our happy clients such as....."Wow, Al did a great job on finding us a home! (Gotta have lots of exclamation points) and we got a great deal and were in the home by Christmas!"

Sometimes salespeople will have the quote and a photo of the person (s) who said such nice things. I think it is better with a photo because it adds credibility to the quote as well as gives some visual relief from a page of text.

The problem is finding the appropriate time to snap a photo of your clients, and also explaining why. Sometimes, I will get a photo of the family in front of the new house, maybe when we are doing the inspection, or another convenient time.

If you have any thoughts, please share them. Thanks!

Maybe you can also allow your clients to post their own photos if you have an intranet for your clients.  Photo sharing is big- chances are someone they know has a digital camera.

You could also take a picture of your clients at their new house and provide a digital announcement of their home purchase to their friends and family.  Then you could use that same picture with a testimonial.

I have also seen handwritten testimonials that were scanned into the computer and posted to an agent's website.  I like those, it provides a very genuine quality.

I try to get photos during the home inspection.  We're usually there for an hour or two anyway so it's a great time to multi-task.

You can also use the photos you take of the house to put on the cover of (and/or inside) your homeowners book you give at settlement.

I recently saw someone take pictures of clients outside of their new homes and then use that photo along with the testimonial. It does not get much better than that.
