One of the special annual events in Olympia during December's Season of Celebration & Sharing is the Toy Run - and it is happening today! So if you were wondering why there are LOTS - and I do mean LOTS of motorcycles around town with riders sporting Santa hats, they are part of the Toy Run. The Toy Run will start from South Sound Center in Lacey at 1:00 this afternoon, and the motorcycle parade will head down a new route along Pacific Ave to State and around the lake to their endpoint at Marathon Park. In the Toy Run, each participant will be helping Santa out just a little with stuffed animals and toys galore. So enjoy the spectacle of hundreds of motorcycles with riders bringing joy to the onlookers along their route through town - and even more joy to kids who will have just a little bit merrier Christmas this year!
