This safety alert came in from a neighborhood watch email:
There have been several reports lately concerning "good Samaritan" strangers trying to stop elderly women at or near the Embry Hills Shopping center. They always use the same ploy -- they tell them there is something wrong with their wheel, tire or car. I have not seen any reports that anyone actually stopped, but if these perpetrators keep it up they will eventually find a trusting person. My guess is that they want to either scam money from their victim or just outright rob them.
If you see this happening to someone please write down the license plate number, description of the driver and car. Then call the police.
If it happens to you, try to get this information before driving away.
