Come and See the Lights on Frisbie Circle in Wolcott CT, Bring some Non-Perishable Food Items as well
The residents of Frisbie Circle in Wolcott CT are all very much into the Christmas Season, each spending hours of their time to put up Christmas decorations and Lights to be appreciated by all that drive through the street. They look for nothing for themselves, but in front of each house is a clean tub, with a sign requesting that food donations be left in the tubs.
They aren’t doing it for themselves. It isn’t the admission fee to the street. The food is collected, and then delivered to the Wolcott CT Food Pantry to be distributed to those that need help.
Cars pass along the homes, take the turn at the end of the cul-de-sac, and you can tell when they pause a little longer in front of a particular home, that they are doing their voting.
Throughout the evening, the residents have a leader, probably on a rotation who will walk the street with a cart and pick up the donated food. No tally is officially announced, it’s not done for the acclaim. It’s just well spirited people trying to lend a hand. It’s a neighborhood Pay it Forward.
