AMEN! I am working a couple short sales right now...one with Bank of America and the other with Chase. I have actually found Chase to be pretty organized and moves quickly for the most part.

They really should change the name to "Long Sale" because that's what it really is!

Kristin, I like it alot....short and sweet...and too the point!  It doesn't matter if you are the listing agent or the buyers agent, it takes alot of patience!

SEan - I LOVE IT! Long sale, yes.  I think I will start calling them that now.  :D

Melissa - Patience is key Melissa.  On both sides.  I think I will start with a disclaimer on my short sales "Please, Please, please, if you are not a patient agent show your client's another home!"

You speak the truth, woman!  1/2 of my short sale contracts this year have been buyer cancelled before bank approval because of the lengthy delay.

One question that always comes to mind during these lengthy deals...because the market is so volitaile, the value at Offer to Purchase time can be much different than the value at Bank Acceptance time, perhaps more than 6 months later!  How frustrating, especially when you are awaiting approval on a full price no-contingency contract!  Ugh.

Bill - NO joke!  Things are a long way off from improvement but I have seen some.  Banks need to get a better handle on things if they want their short sales to be successful & not have to go through the foreclosure process.  Ugh is right!
