Celebrate the holiday season by taking in Christmas at the Creek in College Station this weekend. On Friday, December 9, 2011 and Saturday, December 10, 2011, Santa will be visiting Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater (1015 Colgate) from 6pm to 9pm. He's taking requests and posing for photos ($4 each), so you don't want to miss your opportunity to let the big guy know what you want him to bring to your College Station home.
In addition to Santa, there will be three stages filled with live entertainment, hayrides, crafts for the kids, a live nativity, light displays and so much more absolutely free. Nibble on free cookies and wash it down with free hot chocolate. Food vendors will also be on hand offering lots of good eats for sale. Several local nonprofit organizations will be offering some interesting alternative ideas for Christmas gifts this year. Some of these groups include Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, Twin City Mission, Voices for Children, Health for All and SOS Ministries.
Friday evening's entertainment includes performances by the Kids Klub Dancers, Freudian Slip and the TAMU Orchestra. On Saturday night, watch dancing from students of MCM Dance Studio, Suzanne's School of Dance and On Our Toes Dance Studio. The winners of the baking contest will be announced and awards will be given. Parking is available at the Post Oak Mall.
