I took this picture on November 5th of this year. It's a picture of an Iris blooming in my front flower bed. Yes ... it's really blooming in November! I guess with all the warm days we've had in October, my plants must be a bit confused! I hope it actually opens up that would be really cool to see. I'm afraid the frosts we've been having out here in Livingston County might do it in before it has a chance to bloom.

Very pretty flower. I know what you mean about the cold. It is even getting cold here in Georgia.

My home state will always hold a special place in my heart. I still have my GC license up there and I know the economy is less then perfect up there but it is one of the most diverse landscapes and is truly beautiful place. I look forward to being back for Christmas.

This flower decided to come out in the cold regardless of the weather...I think there is a lesson here.  Thanks for sharing...

That is a wonderful sight.  Very different from the view out my window right now with it snowing.  I'm in Big Rapids, Michigan and winter is definately here.

Michigan weather can cause confusion - PA isn't much different (although I don't think I've seen snow in July!).    I have many, many fond memories of spending my summers in Brighton (aka Burroughs Farms) and grew up in Livonia.  Via AR, I came upon another realtor who did the same (I think she lived in South Lyon for a while).

Lisa,  I miss many things about Michigan.  Most of all nice people like you.  Good selling to you.

Thanks for all your comments! What a sight it was ... I was stunned.

Judi ... I live in Howell, so I'm familiar with Brighton! Where are you in PA? We have family in Lancaster.
