The Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce Holiday Party is this evening, Wednesday December 7th, 2011 at Caso Basso Restaurant on Montauk Highway in Westhampton. Price is $40 per person including tax and grauity. Cash Bar.

History of Casa Basso

The iconic buildings are rich in history and are unique to Westhampton. The creekside property was originally purchased in the late 19th century by American artist Theophilus Brower.

As a young man, Brower traveled and studied art in Spain and

Italy, and when he returned to

Long Island, he built a castle like one he remembered near Seville.

After completing the castle, he adorned the property with romantic sculptures which include two twelve foot swordsmen, a Roman lion, and a Psyche.

How was the Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce Holiday Christmas Party this year? I enjoy the "Killer Bees". Sorry that I had another obligation that night. I heard that the turn out was very good and the food was excellent.
