Are you ready to sell? You are only ready to sell if the exterior of your home is as impressive as the exterior of your home. Many homeowners concentrate on the inside of their homes, but fail to see the importance of the outside of their Ponte Vedra homes, as well.

Your home’s exterior is your home’s first impression; it can either entice buyers to want to see more, or turn off buyers before they even walk through the door. It is therefore imperative to tackle the landscape and exterior of your home when remodeling it to sell. Here are just a few areas to consider improving:

·         Care for mature trees - If you don’t understand how to properly prune mature trees, don’t start hacking away now. Mature trees can add much value to your landscape and should therefore be handled carefully. If your trees are overgrown or blocking the front of your home, call in the services of a tree pruning service to cut them back and allow the beauty of your home to show.

·         Plant trees and other plant material – A home that has few plants, trees and shrubs will not have the value of a comparable home that is adequately landscaped. Head to your local nursery and choose plants and trees that are native to the area and easy to maintain. If your thumb isn’t so green, now is the time to call in the services of a well-respected lawn and landscape company to landscape around the front of your home.

·         Don’t let plant and flower beds go naked – Beds that aren’t adequately mulched look unkempt and are a breeding ground for weeds. A couple hundred dollars’ worth of mulch and a weekend worth of work can transform the beds of your landscape into attractive masterpieces that showcase your home’s beautiful plants and trees.

Curb appeal is always very important.  It's sometimes the deciding factor whether the buyer wants to continue to see the inside or not.
