It looks as if we have a new scam here in Knoxville, TN. It's always best to check things out first, Beware the Scam!
KUB (for those that do not already live here, that is Knoxville Utilities Board) has issued a warning that their employees will not call and ask you for you credit card information!
KUB is advising customers that its representatives do not call asking for credit card or other personal information following reports Tuesday that someone posing as a KUB worker was seeking payment on delinquent bills by credit card.
All KUB employees and contractors carry KUB Identification badges. If you did NOT ask KUB to come check out a problem at your house KUB asks that you call to verify the visit at 865-524-2911.
