Christmas Holiday Decorations in Colonial Williamsburg

We've had a rainy day in Maryland and a good time to catch up on indoor activities.  Many of the homes in Kentlands are decorated for the holiday season and it is a very festive time as we look forward to the Kentlands Holiday Party on Saturday.

Dolores' father was in the navy stationed at Pearl Harbor on that day that forever changed so many lives.  We always take time to remember those that have served our country and have protected our freedon.

Dolores and I were fortunate to be able to spend five days in Colonial Williamsburg over a long Thanksgiving weekend.  The decorations there, all of natural materials, are wonderful and we recommend the area as a travel destination.

Please share photographs from your favorite places. Some say that I have started a trend on ActiveRain by sharing our wreath and decorations photographs. If that is so, join us and share your best finds in seasonal decorations.

Roy, Beautiful photo and post!  I too took some time to think about Pearl Harbor.  Darcy and I visited the USS Arizona Memorial when we were in Hawaii.  What a great site, it was almost indescribable the feeling that we felt there.  The ship still oozes oil after all these years, it put things in perspective!

Hi Roy - The decorations at Williamsburg are wonderful and make a great subject for your fabulous photography.  As much as this rain gets annoying, let's just hope it stays we and doesn't turn to snow!  : )

That's just lovely, Roy.  I'll have to take a picture of mine front door for you.  Been kind of crazy today though!  Thanks for the reminder about Pearl Harbor Day!

Good Thursday morning.  We have a beautiful sunny day and Maryland and we did not receive the snow that was predicted for last night.

We had beautiful weather for our Thursday visit to Longwood Gardens. It is a good time to see Orchid Extravaganza, their outstanding annual exhibit.
