7 Comments on To the Newbies: 10 Tips to Help the Oldies Notice You!
Marte: Pat has put together an excellent list for Newbies... and really, for many Oldbies, as well. Following as many of these as you can will really be a great boost to one's blogging foundation.
Thanks Marte, for those tips! I like the idea of reciprocating comments to those bloggers who comment on your latest blog!
Hi Marte, thanks for the tips-I am trying to follow Patricia Kennedy's advice and yours as I consider myself a new blogger-it's only been 6 months on AR!
Karen Ann - I agree. Her list is a good one to follow no matter how long you've been blogging.
Leigh - It's wonderful in theory, but sometimes difficult in practice. There are only 24 hours in a day!
Joanna - You may be a new blogger, but I think you're doing a fine job of it.
Interesting thing about the photos ~ it's not that they are not putting them on their profiles, it is that there is a certain number of points that they have to reach for AR to publish the photos. Think it's 10,000, but seems strange to me.
Mimi: I am not sure, but I think it is the case that when a Newbie uploads their picture when they join, they get a certain number of points for doing so, and I think that right away, their picture does show up on their profile. It just does not show up in the comments they make in the posts... until they hit 10,000 points. Again, not sure, but I think this is the case.
Mimi - I didn't know that. Seems like that would be one extra step for the programmers.
Karen Ann - Thanks for the clarification. It doesn't make sense to me, but ... Maybe that's an "incentive" to get busy and blog?
