Secret Recipe Revealed - Stuffing
Secret Recipe
Most of us spend too much time thinking about food during the Christmas holiday period. We tend to want very special things. In this post, Connecticut real estate professional and ActiveRain blogger Chris Canfield shares his family recipe for the best stuffing. It looks very good to me. Let us know if you try it.

Secret Recipe Revealed - Stuffing
Stuffing is an absolutely personal preference. I hear of families getting into battles over "the right kind of stuffing." I don't know how this stuffing would hold up in another family's contest, but this recipe has been handed down through my wife's mother's side for years, and it is a big hit (although my brother picks out the raisins).
Old Fashioned Stuffing
10 cups bread cubed
1 lb. sausage
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup apples, sliced
1 cup raisins
1 Tbsp. Poultry Seasoning
2 tsp. salt
1 cup water (add a bit more as necessary while cooking)
Cook sausage, onions, and apples together. Do not drain off fat. Add bread and remaining ingredients. Stir well. Simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally or put in casserole and bake at 325 for one hour, covered. You may need to add a bit of water--this is supposed to be a moist stuffing--not dry.
