One of my favorite things to do every holiday season is to load the kids up in the car and go out and look at Christmas lights. I pack up hot chocolate in a thermos and butter cookies in a tin. Then we tune in the all Christmas channel on the radio here in Sioux Falls and we are off! Sioux Falls has Christmas spirit in abundance in many different areas. Here is a list of the major holiday lanes in Sioux Falls.
1. 300 North LaSalle Ave-single family home decked out in the extreme!
2. 3209 E. 20th St.- Nativity Display
3. Penguin Lane is located off of E 20th or 21st (this is very close to the display above)
4. St. Francis Lane- done in blue and white this is just beautiful to see!
5. Fireside Ave-located one block west of 57th and Southestern)- has a very cute fireplace theme.
6. Phillips Ave- Between 26th St and 41St- no official theme here but there are some nice ones non the less!
7. Dakota Ave and 18th- there are some nice ones here as well.
8. 3101 S. Lincoln- Includes a close to life size nativity, a church and house lights.
9. North on Marion Rd-past Maple on Marion-then turn off on Bent Grass St.-Neighborhood display
10. Winter Wonderland at Falls Park
11. Christmas at the Western Mall- this display is actually an indoor display and is a fundraiser for the SD Make-A-Wish Foundation….it is lights set to music and is really cool! This was formerly Crooks Christmas in Crooks, SD.
Hope you have a wonderful night of lights and sights! Happy Holidays!

Taking a Christmas Light Tour is a lot of fun for everyone! We usually go out to look at lights on the motorcycle, with our motorcycle club. It's usually FREEZING!!!!
Rose- Yikes that would be cold!! I can't imagine being on a motorcycle in December but then again I am in South Dakota it is just a bit colder here then there! Lol
Barbara- If you get to know me better you will find out that my prefereces for many things fall in the oldie and moldy catogory. I love old jazz and classical music! Frank Sinatra, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Sarah Vaughn, and Ella Fitzgerald are some of my favorites! I love most all classical music! I love old black and white movies, old clothes styles, antique furniture and especially old houses. I guess you could say I am a strange ranger! LOL

John- I love to do stuff like this with my girls. I know some day they won't be into it but I have a little while to go before they won't want to!

I find it amazing that the same old Christmas songs from Old Blue Eyes are still popular with the younger generation!
By the way, thanks for taking the time to do all of the corrections! I appreciate it! Happy Holidays!!!
