When I first met Kate Miller in the spring of 2010, she was a young Mother interested in relocating to our area. It was my honour and privilege to be her Gananoque Realtor of choice and we soon found the perfect place. Kate quickly got to work making over the lower level of this home to accommodate the pet grooming business she wanted to open. Kate had been successful in both Florida and in Quebec and now it was Gananoque's pets that were to benefit from Kate's professional grooming skills.

In November she opened the doors of The Green Paw Spa

The Spa is open Mon - Fri:

8:30 am

5:30 pm

All of Kate's products are medicated, tearless, phosphate and chemical free; leaving a long lasting and pleasant smell. And I can personally attest to that as my Sheila spent the afternoon with Kate and not only did she return to me happy, silky, and clean, but very proud of her cute Christmas Scarf that Kate provided!

Sheila is one of my Australian Shepherds who doesn't require a great deal of grooming. On the other end of the spectrum however, I give you my Mother's 14 year old toy poodles who are obviously in need of Kate's skills (and patience) on a regular schedule.

Cindy - the poodles quite enjoy themselves but my Sheila is a rootin, tootin, natural kind a gal and doesn't go for all the poofery. However, she does LOVE Kate so it works out well. We're still working on my other dog, Kylie to get her calm enough for Kate to be able to bath her and trim her claws. As I said above, she is a rescue and has been thru far more than anything an animal should have to endure! Trust issues at play but if anyone can do it, it will be Kate and her Green Paw Spa!

Susan, I'm always amazed how my "boys" will just stand there on that grooming table, but when I just try a tiny little bit of brushing, it's just not happening, LOL.

Juli - isn't that the truth! My girls will immediately sit down the second I even think about brushing their skirt!

Kate just had her 1st anniversary and is so well booked - I'm really pleased how Gananoque has adopted her into the community. And, I'm not surprised either because she is a really great person as well as a talented groomer!

Debb - my Sheila was the same and if I ever came at her with scissors, she'd take months to forgive me! She came back from her appointment just as proud and happy as could be! I'm sure Mac would love an early Christmas present!
