Give Your Holiday Veggie Platter Some Personality This Year

Looking for a fun way to dress up a veggie platter for the holidays?

I originally posted about this idea two years ago, and thought it might be time to share it again.

Surprise your guests with a mini snowman made of cauliflower

He looks great on any platter with any assortment of appetizers.

Assemble his body using toothpicks to hold it together.  I used toothpicks for this guy's arms, but rosemary branches would look even better.  I used whole cloves for the eyes, mouth, and buttons.  Carrot was used for his hat.

Delores:  That's exciting!  I hope you get some pictures so we can see!

Lloyd:  I'm surprised you didn't think it was going to have Zack or Jack somehow involved!

Bruce:  It was a huge hit when I brought it to a party....and there were no kids!

Alexandra:  Honestly, I don't remember where I saw the idea...I know I stole it from somewhere, LOL!

Anna:  Please share a picture when you make it!  It takes a bit of patience...you have to find just the right pieces to fit together...but it's worth it.

Judy:  The snowman can take a dip!

Janice:  Just clever enough to know a good idea when I see one!

Very cute Sharon. Snowman outside....and snowman inside. Perfect. But I like the one inside better.

Sharon, I'll need to forward this to my sister, she's on charge of the Vegetable platter this year, and her daughter enjoys being creative.

Hi Sharon--one amazing idea after another.  This is great because it is also the only kind of snowman any of my guests will see on Maui. Thanks for sharing this!

Hi Sharon ~ I remember this little snowman from the last time -- he is too adorable!  I love the fact that he's so easy to put together.

Joanna:  They would rather go outside and make a real snowman, LOL!

Lou:  That's so true...don't try this at home!

Nancy:  Makes for a great conversation piece!

Lee & Carol:  That's a great idea!  I'm sure it will be a hit with the happy couple!

Roger:  And so good for the diet too!

Peg:  I'm sure you could make a murder mystery snowman with a little veggie murder weapon, LOL!

Shar:  Me too, I'll take the inside any day!  I do prefer mine cooked with salt and butter though!

Ellen:  Great!  Hope they have fun creating it together!

Ginger:  Anytime you see a snowman from this day forward you are to think cauliflower and everytime you see cauliflower from this day forward you are to think snowman.  There...all set!

Janet:  I hadn't thought of people living in the snowfree zone!

Maureen:  Not really "easy" but certainly no rocket science, LOL!

Joan:  Thank you!  The issue is with other bloggers and facebook.  Not an AR issue.

Al & Peggy:  It draws attention to the veggies at least...not sure if it makes them eat anymore of them, LOL!  Hopefully!  Thank you!
