I've been hearing this question a lot lately. 

Homebuyers that we have pre-approved are coming back saying that the builder is requiring them to use the builders lender. 

Well, they legally can't force you to use their lender but they can give incentives to use them. 

This isn't a problem unless the builders lender doesn't provide the same programs. 

I specialize in Texas Veteran Home Loans and many of the builders do not provide all of these programs.
