Brevard County Tax Deed and Foreclosure Research

The rain is delaying our The Man Cave project becaue we have to empty the garage and scrub the floor down in anticipation of painting it. The neighbor suggested we powerwash it but we haven't brought one of those yet. I'm thinking we should hire a firm. This is a simple but effective website page of one we're considering:

http://www.pressurecleaningbrevardcounty.com

I just saved it in my fave pile. We're thinking of hiring them to powerwash the garage and exterior of the house so we can paint it. The boys and I will be going to Lowes and Home Depot with Mikey later to scope colors. I'm going to be doing a lot of Brevard County research until then because I don't know my neighborhood and I need to get on point with that.

First stop is Clerk of the Court: "Our office is pleased to provide the community with an online resource to help residents and visitors obtain information and conduct business with us.  We hope you find this website a useful and friendly environment that serves your needs in an efficient, cost-effective and secure manner."

Cool. Here's something useful I'm chatting with my girlfriends about:

Tax Deed Auctions

FYI: "Please use the following procedure to access the List of Lands Available for Brevard County.  Access the Brevard County Clerk of Courts website at www.brevardclerk.us Under “Public Records” please select “Tax Deed Auctions." On the next screen, in “Tax Deed Auction Options” please select “View Tax Deed Files Online.” Once on Tribute Web, please select Search Option “By Status."  Click on “Sale Date Range” but do not fill in any dates. Change Current Status to “LA.” Click on “Search Records.” Click on the certificate number to view the documents in the file. Please review the files.  All properties are sold on a “BUYER BEWARE” basis.  Once you have reviewed the file, if you are still interested in purchasing the property, please submit a request in writing for the current minimum bid.You can send the request via email by using the “Contact Tax Deed Clerk” option from the “Tax Deed Auction Options” box or by regular mail to “Brevard County Clerk of Court, PO Box 219, Titusville, FL 32781-0219 Attn: Tax Deeds.”

Please note:  Please allow up to 30 days for a response to your request for an updated minimum bid.

Yup. Melodious is teaching me how to search for investment properties. My NYC gal pals are kicking in cash and expect to go buy stuff while on vacation with me so I have to go learn what's out there. When we go back to Texas in the spring Mel is gonna take us shopping (silly grin). Jen, this link is for you:

Foreclosure Auctions are held at 11:00 AM at the Brevard County Government Center North, Brevard Room, 518 S. Palm Avenue, Titusville, Florida.

We never discussed tax foreclosures. They are a lot different than bank foreclosures.

Mel, the girls wanna do bank and tax foreclosures so we're on-line trading links and reading like there's gonna be a pop quiz on Sunday (LOL). Told 'em you're the boss of us when we get to TX. Those will be straight recreational land deals and maybe one foreclosure auction. We'll probably want you to hook us up with matching office space. Oh snap - I forgot to check out your office digs. My bad. Next time... ;-)
