Month by month over the past year, we have seen the ventory of homes for sale dwindle in La Quinta, California. It is very frustrating for buyers and real estate agents/brokers to have less and less homes for sale in La Quinta, California.
There are still many distress sales including short sales and foreclosures, but as the months pass, we are seeing an increase in prices. I actually had an appraiser call me today on a listing I had as a short sale about 5 months ago. The bank would not accept our short sale offer when the home was listed at $85,000. The home went to foreclosure and the bank repainted and carpeted and did some landscape work. The home is now in escrow for $105,000.
I do not like having less homes to show buyers, but I am glad prices are starting to go up again in La Quinta, California.
