Motivational Power Quote

The Game is Not Over . . . .

“Don’t give up at half-time,

Concentrate on winning the second half.”

Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant, football coach

As I see it . . . . . . .

The game is not over . . . .

The game is not over . . . . if there’s time on the clock or another breath that we can take.

When we’re committed to stay in the game and play it with a 100% of your effort the opportunities are created to win. Play the game to win until the last second ticks off the clock and don’t quit on yourselves or their team.

Staying in the game is created in our attitude, the attitude of success and in our persistence.

Good teams like people are prepared to win, play to win and expect to win and they become the champions and the leaders in their profession.

The game ends quickly for the person who quits on themselves or their team.

Many games are decided in the closing minutes of play by the team that kept on trying and playing.

The game is not over the last tick of the clock has expired, until then play it to win.

This is why I love football. The game is not over. We left my local high school game a couple of weeks ago thinking we lost and we were cold, then...boom, two touchdowns and they won! yippy

Hi Lou, this is great advice and I like your take on it.  Everyday it's a new clock - never give up.

Lou, I've come to know in the last few weeks, that I truly what to give it all away and not have anything left when I go - you may not get to half time :)

Lou ~ an excellent message to us all.  December is not over.  And if we continue to work through the month, we will be setting up a great start for 2012.

Lou,

Be it sports, football, basketball, baseball or business, it's not 'over' until the end. Great advice and from a great coach, the legendary Bear Bryant.  Thanks Lou!

Bear's words have never applied to anyone more than Tim Tebow. He does not even show up to play until late in the second half!

Lou,

Even if you lose the second half as long as you played your best.....you are still a winner!
