SUNDAY BLESSING ~ THE CHRISTMAS SEASON!

We are all well into the Christmas season now. Lights have been hung, trees are getting decorated and gifts are being wrapped. With all of the fanfare of the season, I like to step back and reflect on what Christmas means to me.

For me, the Christmas season is truly about "Christ". He is the reason for the season and I fear this fact is getting more and more diluted as this special day becomes known simply as a "holiday". Certainly there are other religions and beliefs out there but this does not negate the fact that as Christians, we celebrate this special day for Christ.

We have every right to call Christmas - Christmas and not as a Happy Holiday, Winter Break, etc. I am giving thanks for what this time means for those of us who believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May He reign on high forever. Amen!

Paula well said, it is Christmas and so it's Merry Christmas. I never say happy holidays and I hate when someone sends out anything with the X on it. It's not X day, It's Christmas. Not such a long word that it needs to be shortened to X, like X marks the spot.
