Covenant Presbyterian Church on Hoadly Road in Manassas has an extremely active ministry serving both public and private programs that assist homeless individuals and families. Arthur and I are active participants whenever possible.
Homelessness knows no religion. We have helped people of all faiths or no faith. At this time each year we visit the Hilda Barg Shelter on Route in Woodbridge and take both individual and family photos. These photos from last year show me using someone's cell phone to take and review a simple shot with a young boy. Later, I took a family photo with our "real" camera.
We will be at the shelter again today, December 16 - we already have appointments set. After the photos are taken, they are edited, framed and given to the families on an evening when we are preparing and serving dinner for them. It is one of the highlights of our holiday season
