There is something about getting the tree up that brings Christmas to life. I’m not too fond of the effort required to get the decorations up, but when it is all done, it is well worth it. It’s just another reminder that doing the work is worth the effort; at home, in business, and self-improvement.

It all takes effort!

What a beautiful tree. I know the feeling, it seems like so many boxes to get down and so many things to do, but it all looks wonderful at the end of the effort.

Hi Tom - what a wonderfully cheerful tree.  I'm with you.  It's fun to decorate with others, but I always wind up doing it all by myself and I'm pooped when it's done.  It is nice to have the reward of getting to sit and stare at it though!

Hi Tom - Since we're going to Chicago for our first Christmas in our son, daughter-in-law and grandbabies' home, we decided not to do the tree this year, and it just feels strange - there's a big hole in our living room right now that shouldn't be there. I'm not sure we'll be able to hold out.

It does take effort Tom and then all the effort to take it all down... ugh.. But I'm not thinking about that yet!!

Merry Christmas!!

Some nights thats exactly what I do, sit and stare. Usually the thoughts are of how blessed I am, these are very special times Susan.

Buy a new plant Dick! Stick it there for now, when you get back, you will have a new interior plant (from Santa).

The only thing about Christmas that I have accomplished this year, is to finish my shopping.  I have not put up a single decoration. . .Shame on me!  I must say however, I have enjoyed getting in my car and driving around town.  Radio station 96.1 FM is playing Christmas music 24/7.  I love that!

Well, you have finished the hardest part Myrl.  :)

I'll check 96.1 the next time I'm driving in my truck.

Hi, Tom.  I thought it was funny that I found your post tonight since it's 2:30am here in NJ and I just finished decorating my tree!  It is lovely....as they all are.  Your tree looks very tall to me! Enjoy your holidays.  Enjoy your tree!
