Late Autumn Flowers Are Still Blooming In Kentlands

We now have very few flowers to enjoy during our December walks through Kentlands and Lakelands.  The colors of the season are rapidly changing.  So, while they last, we will enjoy the remaining blooms.

During the winter we will have rely on the conservatories to provide flowers for us to photograph.  Please share photographs from your favorite places in the comments for this post.

Enjoy the holidays and be sure to have your camera in hand to capture the colors of the season and those special moments.

Roy, thanks so much. Today is a day when I needed to be blest by the vibrancy and the beauty of these flowers. I greatly appreciate it.

Hi Roy - If that flower was blooming in Kentlands, your weather must be a lot different than Connecticut!  Looking forward to a winter of your flower photos from conservatories!!!

Roy, I've always wondered if the plants grown, even in the green houses and conservatories still have a seasonality about them because of the amount of time the sun actually shines?  Or, is there enough artificial light and warmth to "fool" the plants?

Another beautiful photo, Roy!  We don't have many flowers that are blooming right now in our area of BC, but we do have berries!

Roy,  It is so great that you still have flowers to enjoy.  Nothing is blooming in my neighborhood except snow men.

Roy,

Thanks for the beautiful pictuers. I had a great time in DC and my the sky was absolutely stunning on Monday night. It was clear yesterday which would have made for another opportunity for different pictures but alas we had a plane to catch! Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Roy,  I have not seen anything in our flower bed for a month.  Can not wait for the garden show in February.

Roy & Dolores,

Your late bloomers are gorgeous! Enjoy the colors of the season. I'm still getting an occasional rose in my flowerbeds. A few are budding now. Ironically, this last week I've seen beautiful autumn leaves. After the heavy rains we got a few weeks ago, the trees with remaining green leaves finally turned to red and gold. It was pretty spectacular!
