2011 December Blogging Challenge- Welcoming A New Agent To International Properties and Investments.
Day 12 was a day to welcome in the new. After many interviews and looking for the right fit for a new agent to add to International Properties and Investments the agent that is right for us was right in front of us all this time.
It is very interesting how everything happens for a reason.
Nestor is very picky about who joins our team. He won't even look at an agent twice if they don't have a follow up system or would be willing to learn one. We interviewed this one agent and Nestor asked him, "what is your follow up system?"... the agent proceeded to tell us it was all up in his head. That right there was a danger sign, Nestor said. He was also set in his ways and was resistant to our advice on using a written system to follow up on current clients, past clients, future clients and for tasks towards scheduled closings. That agent was not a right fit for our company.
You need to hire agents who align with your core values and are willing to listen and take advice from their brokers and trainers. We have known Cindy and her family for over 15 years. We go to the same church and our kids know each other. Our little guy is friends with her twin boys. She and her husband adopted 5 children. We have been here watching them all grow up. The youngest boys are ten year old twins. Cindy's daughter has been contracted to do our mailings over a year ago for our expired listing marketing. Cindy was our housekeeper and she was my helper in so many areas until she got her license. Nestor told her she should get her real estate license and even though I wanted to be selfish and keep her to myself because I trust her and she does such a thorough job on everything... I knew that it was in her best interest to become a real estate agent. I could not argue with Nestor in that regard.
Today, Cindy's license became active with our company. We decided to hire her on day 6 of the blogging challenge. Today she is legal to work in the state of Florida! YEAH!!! It was an exciting day for all of us. She is so willing to learn. We already had a list of prospective buyers for her to start to work with. So tonight she was here until 11 p.m. getting her buyers' packages ready, getting all the appointments scheduled and mapped out for her first buyer prospect who she is showing homes to tomorrow morning. Yes, she validated we made the right decision. She went above and beyond and that is a sure sign of someone who cares and is going to be successful.
We wish her all the best for her first showings tomorrow morning!!! GO CINDY!!!!
