18 Comments on The Ad Said "They" Have Plenty of Inventory for Every Buyer
Well, we can all sell the listings on the MLS. But, I agree, it might be misleading to the public as a whole.
I guess each firm has its own way of markteting. I can understand them referring to their clients' current listings without misleading anyone.
That does sound a little misleading. I wonder what the local MLS would have to say about that.
Cindy,
We do hear real estate advertising with a different perspective. I suspect that the general public doesn't really care, or listen.
Rich
Cindy ....there will always be those who mis-lead the public ......It's a shame, but it's been going on for years!
Have a great night!
Cindy
"THEY" must be a legend in their own mine.
Good luck and success.
Lou Ludwig
"They" need to get over themselves and just sell real estate.
That does seem a bit misleading Cindy, I agree. I like Lou's comment "legends in their own minds".
Cindy, It's the engineer in me again, but most ads can be dissected in some way that makes it apparent that the wool is being pulled over someone's eyes. I know we don't have the inventory personally to match everyone's needs, but at least we have access to it....but even then, there are some people that are such a challenge to match up that there may not be a single home that suits them available.
Suzanne-it was the wording of the ad and the "they" have enough inventory. It's picky but seems misleading.
Jeff-I have no idea what their brokerage inventory is but I know it isn't all 7000+ homes in our MLS.
Tammie-I'm sure it isn't a violation of any advertising rules and the average consumer would have no idea that that brokerage doesn't have a monopoly on the MLS in our area.
Rich-I'm sure you are right. It's just one of the local real estate ads that catches my attention and seems a bit misleading.
Rob-it goes along with the ads that say we have homes to sell starting at $$$ when there isn't anything even close to that price in our area.
Lou-they are at least trying to convince everyone that they have all the homes to sell.
Kay-I'm sure there agents are trying to do just that.
Roger-I suspect as Rich says the average consumer isn't paying attention to the words just hear the name of the company.
Bliz-if there was a home for every buyer there wouldn't be homes that languish for years and wouldn't be the other extreme muliple offers on another. The news that "they" have enough inventory for every buyer is a bit misleading.
