The times have changed and now a majority of sellers are relying on Real Estate agents to help sell their home. Real Estate agents have the expertise and experience and are sure to make the process as easy and quick as possible - old methods seem to be going out the door.
From 1991 to 2011 the percentage of sellers using an agent to sell their home rose from 77% to 87%!
During the same time period, the number of sellers who sold their homes as an FSBO decreased from 19% to 10%. Sellers feel that Real Estate professionals can help sell their home in a reasonable time frame, really get the property advertised all over the internet and price the home right.
