Connie it is a very sweet song and I am pleased you liked it.  It is so easy to get caught up in the commercial sense of Christmas, sometimes we need to be reminded in such a simple way as this.  Thank you for commenting and Merry Christmas!

Mary,

This is really beautiful! I was glad to hear it because this is where people need to start focusing their attention on. I was in an office yesterday, waiting for my appointment. I'm sure the receptionest just wanted to make small talk, but some how, I couldn't pull myself into her conversation because it was all one sided and the ego manifested the room. The conversation started like this:

Hi have a seat so are you ready for Christmas I put lights on my tree but there's not enough and I need to go pick up some more but when I get to the mall the lines will be long and people will be rushing around or standing in line to buy things and I have so many presents to buy and there's so many bargains out there for me that I can't pass up...

I shut my eyes and let the poor girl speak to herself as I reminded myself about what Christmas is really all about.

I really enjoyed the video and that's exactly the way people should remember Christmas.

Have a Merry Christmas.

Patricia

mary~I mostly stay private about my strong relationship with God and his son, but this season brings about the opportunity to talk freely about our love of THEM. Thank you for this really really beautiful message and I loved the choir of different ages behind her towards the end. What a lovely person and a strong message she sings so sweetly.

thank you, sweet mary!

Hi Patricia,

That is quite a story but I am not at all surprised.  Lately when I am driving, cars are zooming around, cutting in front of me, trying to push aside in the market, just simply not paying attention to what is around them.  When someone has done that to me in the market, I say excuse me to get their attention and more than half of the time they will not even look my way.  I am not rude, exactly the opposite, people just are so into what they are doing.  How did we all get so pre-occupied and forget the messages that are out there about what the Christmas season is all about.  I have to say though, that when I am able to engage in conversation, and trust me I usually try, and people engage back it is simply marvelous.

Merry Christmas Patricia, I hope your holidays are all you would like them to be and more.

Hi Gayle,

I am so glad you enjoyed the video.  She is a beautiful person and the song just struct such a strong cord with me.  I am a lot like you and do not say too much unless I feel strongly about something and don't preach my beliefs to others.  We all believe in our own ways and to me that is private as it is with you.  I hope your Christmas is the best ever and that you have family and friends all around you.  Such a special time and hopefully we are all able to carry all of those special feelings with us throughout this coming year.

Take care Gayle, I feel very blessed that I had the opportunity to meet you and begin to get to know who you are.

Merry Christmas and the Best of New Years !

I'd never heard this before and so glad you shared it!  It's always a struggle to keep Christ centered in our holiday -- now to keep him centered in 2012 as well! :)

Margaret, this is truly a beautiful song and each time I hear it I get a lump in my throat.  I pray that we will all keep him front and center in 2012.  Glad you stopped by, I grew up in Salem many many years ago, South Salem.  Have a wonderful year.
