We have completed our 1st annual Halloween Candy Buy Back - Cash for Candy here in Highlands Ranch CO and it was a success. Eventhough we put this event together in the last minute we collected over 200 lbs of candy. That is a lot of candy!!! We initially put all the candy in large buckets, but they were too heavy to carry anywhere so we have been dividing them to more manageable portions and started distributing them to the local charities. We will be dropping of the rest of the candy by the end of the week to couple of local shelters and if we still have some left over (some places only want so much candy), we will package it and mail it to the troops in Iraq.
