Going Mobile! I'm digging having a mobile office.

I recently made the switch from a big national broker to a small, upstart broker.  The downside....I was losing my traditional office, and this was something I was a little nervous about. Working from home isn't an option for me for the obvious reasons....four children, laundry, dishes, etc.  I wouldn't get any work done! Questions that came to mind about being mobile: How will this affect my lead generation? Will I be able to stay organized? How will I explain to my clients that I don't have a traditional office?  What if I need to print? And, so on.

Well, it's been three weeks now and I am digging it!  I love the constant change of scenery.  Check out the view from my office today.

Here's what's great about having a mobile office:

  • Great way to meet new clients - I've picked up two new clients in the last two weeks just by greeting them and asking them how they were doing.
  • Housekeeping doesn't cost me extra - When I am done eating a very nice lady comes and clears the table
  • My office of the day depends on what kind of food I am craving.
  • I don't pay for the electricity I use
  • People watching is fun!

Lead generation hasn't been a problem - I try to find a quiet place to make my calls, then I just talk to people and with Docusign, who needs a printer!  As for staying orgainized...well, that will ALWAYS be something I struggle with!

The perk today for chosing Paradise Bakery.....Free Dessert!
