My Guests feel like they are at the HILTON!!!

When you travel you learn a lot about different areas and customs.

Well you often get to live in a Hotel room on these little vacation.

On a trip to New York last year I finally got the message from our Hotel Room!

(((Get a Curved Shower Rod for my Guest Bath!!! )))

Or even your Master Bath....

(This can also be a great gift idea for clients!!!)

It makes all the difference and we just saw them at Lowe's for under 40 dollars...What a bargain for opening up an area you use every day!!!

If you have ever felt cramped in a shower (most of us have), you know the problem!

We need elbow room!

This little quick fix is fantastic and My Guests feel like they are at the HILTON!!!

Charles - I prefer a glass door myself but when money is a factor this is a great alternative ;). The nice thing about being in Real Estate is that we are alwyas exposed to some great ideas.

Thanks again for another great tip Charles.  I was curious about these while spending idle time at Home Depot.  I'll have to revisit and see how they'll fit in my allotted space.  The heck with guests I want to feel like I'm at the Hilton.

As Mark Twain would say "Guests are like fish after three days they start to smell" so don't make them to comfortable or they might be here to stay!

Uncle Charlie...can we stay at your house???

11/07/2007 07:35 AM by Al Maxwell - Real Estate Agent - (Coldwell Banker)

I don't want my guests to get that comfortable.  The last time one did she stayed for a year and a half.  (I didn't just type that -- that was my alter ego that typed that :-)

All kidding aside, I've seen those out on the market now and they look wonderful!   Glad to hear that it is working out well for you and yours.

Charles: you're taking a lot of ragging here, but the idea is fantastic.  I wonder if our Staging community has picked up on this?

That is brilliant!  Have you ever been in a shower with a normal rod and the curtain 'attacks' you.  Not quite sure of the science behind it, but the curtain flows inward towards you.  Now if they could just come up with a travel version!!

11/07/2007 07:41 AM by Martin Abeshaus (ZIPVO)

Great tip Charles!  I know that's how I feel (more room needed!) when I am staying at a hotel with a shower curtain that goes straight across.  At home we have glass doors and walk-in showers, but this is a great and inexpensive tip for those with shower curtains.

This would be better for our personal homes over staged homes (to respond to Mike above) since buyers don't usually stand in the tub and take a shower when viewing.  I would think you're really only going to realize that its a good idea if you are showering in a tub/shower that has one, and realize the extra room you have.

Good idea Charles.   And Martin is right about the attacking curtain syndrome.  Cheap motels and some times quality hotels, use these slinky thin little curtains that are so light weight the slightest air current moves them around and you end up in a "fight" with the curtain.

Charles,

We had been thinking of purchasing one, but didn't know if they worked ok! Now that we're clean, what are you feeding us...Thanks,   Fran

MIKE - Not sure if stager are seeing the value, although I think they look better than a straight shower rod... It is a Funtional thing.

MARTIN - Who ever came up with this just applied common sense (I love good ideas)!!!

KATHY - I like GLASS too, but we just got a GLASS door for our Master Bath and it was over 800 dollars. So for a guest or kids bath 40 bucks sounds like a gift!!!
