2011 December 31 Day Blogging Challenge Day 14
Today was another productive and fun day. I am finding myself posting more than one blog a day-just too much to share!
I met with the lovely Audrey June-Forshey to deliver Coats for the REMAX Realty Services Coat Drive. We agreed to meet in Fulton, Maryland for a late breakfast. We were shooting for something between Gaithersburg and Catonsville but I think Audrey got the short end of the stick! She got caught in traffic on the way, but knowing Audrey she probably got a ton of work done in route! Fulton has a beautiful new shopping center, but there is not a whole lot to choose from for breakfast there so Dunkin Donuts it was. The service was friendly and a table opened up just after we placed our order.
Audrey and I talked about her work with Mothers Fighting For Others, the girls of Saint Monica's, life as a realtor, some of the challenges we have faced. We laughed. Audrey is a wealth of information and just plain sweet!
I introduced Audrey to a great marketing program to add to her listing bag of tricks. The only cost to agents is the cost of the sign rider (less than 20 bucks) for 24/7 text messaging call capture. We created a single property website in minutes, a few tweaks and it will be active!
Audrey is one of the most carng people I know. She is the first one to step up to help when called. Her fundraiser for MFFO raised over $30,000 this year! That will do a lot for the girls of Saint Monica's, but there is still a huge need for daily needs (food, electricity, water, etc.) and education. For $1500 per year you can provide for one of the girl's educational needs. Now you can even break that down into 12 months of payments. Don't have $1500 a year? We talked about ways to make it easier for folks to help the girls. How about $12/month? You can help by signing up for the 2012 $12 for 12 months campaign. More information to follow.
Audrey blessed me with a MFFO bracelet, it says INSPIRE THE CHILD...I will wear it proudly! Thanks Audrey, You inspire me!
The afternoon was spent in Raincamp. I had trouble accessing the online presentation (firewall issues?) so I listened to it on my phone. I think seeing the presentation would have helped, but there was a TON of great tips and content. I'll be blogging about some tips I learned. Hopefully the presentations were recorded and I can do a re-play. It was hard to keep up with everything presented by Ben Kinney, Chris Alston and Debe Maxwell....wowza!
