Holiday Party Get Together ActiveRain Style
Today 12 friends came together to celebrate the holidays and to celebrate friendships that would not have occurred except for ActiveRain. I am sure that some of use would eventually have done transactions together eventually, given the number of years we have all been in the business, but we would not have developed the comraderieship we have had it not been for this great network called ActiveRain.
Thank you Martha Brown from Long and Foster for organizing and bringing us all together before the Christmas holiday. If you haven't attended an 
ActiveRain meetup I would highly recommend going, you can't beat the networking opportunity, nor can you beat the friendships you develop. I think that we all miss out on the water cooler kinds of friendships you would have if you worked in an office type atmosphere but as Realtors we don't have that opportunity except in groups like this.
We met at Brio Tuscan Grille in Annapolis, MD. The restaurant was easy to find and the parking garage was right across from the restaurant and it was free. If we had had time we would have been able to visit the nearby shops for Christmas gifts for that hard to shop for person. The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. I am such a critic when it comes to food. I want great food for a great price and I don't want to be cheaped by the portions. I love to cook and I always compare the food I get at restaurants to how I would have prepared it at home and I was very pleasantly surprised and I would go back to this restaurant and bring my family and friends again and again. It was really good food and I felt it was a good value. The atmosphere was inviting and our waitress was 
fantastic, she kept our glasses filled without us even realizing they were being filled and was attentive to our every need with a smile and 4 other large sittings at the same time.
My friend and Settlement Officer, Valerie Kuester-Lloyd from Key Title in Bel Air joined us today. Valerie is one of the best settlement officers I know, she will go to the ends of the earth to get a deal closed. She's a member of ActiveRain but hasn't really gotten into blogging like the rest of us and she had never been to an ActiveRain meetup before either. She is all set to join us again and get more involved.
Bridget McGee - "Mortgage Mama"from Cross Country Mortgage shoule have been wearing her Santa hat because she came bearing gifts. Thank you so much Bridget, not just for the gifts today but for your friendship and treating my clients with the utmost in respect and professionalism.
So many great people were there today, Margaret Rome, Margaret Woda, Ellie McIntyre, Gerry Michaels (Gettysburg Gerry), Richard Iarossis and some other great people whose names escape me. A good time was had by all. I wish everyone all the best for the holiday season and in 2012 and may we all meet again next year.
