5 THINGS TO DO IN ALAMEDA
Probably the most important thing to do this week is to visit Santa Claus at Christmas Tree Lane. Santa will put in an appearance every night starting at 6:30 pm. Santa and a chance to view the holiday decorations on Thompson Avenue, what more could you want.

Alameda Civic Ballet will be performing the Nutcracker Ballet Saturday and Sunday, December 17 and 18 at 2pm at the Kofman Auditorium. For tickets and information visit Alameda Civic Ballet.
The Little Ice Rink will open Friday, December 16 at 3pm. Put your skates on and join an Olympic skater and the rest of the crowd at the Rink at 1600 Park Street. The Grand Opening will feature the Mayor cutting the ribbon to officially open the rink. Sponsored by Perforce Foundation the Little Ice Rink will feature hot and cold snack from the Little House Cafe.
If music is on your agenda for this weekend, The High Street Station will feaure Amy Meyers & Judea Eden on Friday and Hudson Street Band on Saturday. Great music and good food at High Street Station located at the corner of High Street and Encinal Avenue.

One of our friends is a puppy raised for the Dogs for the Blind organization. She said they will take the puppies to Christmas Lane on Monday. Just need to find out the exact time. THAT would be the place to be with all these cute puppies!
Evelyn, Alameda community is the place to be to enjoy are the great festivities. Hope you had a chance to attend some if not all of the events.
Pacita: Great idea. The puppies would be a wonderful addition to the activities there at Christmas Tree Lane.
Rebecca: I did attend all but the ballet. It is in the afternoon when open houses happen. Darn.
Sounds like Almeda had some great holiday events lined up! Hey if you attended all but one - that's pretty good!
Renee:
I missed the ballet. I really wanted to get some pictures of all the events for my library.
