December's Season of Celebrations & Sharing

Toy Collections December 2011 - Houston Area

Several organizations are having toy collections for Christmas 2011.

Many Houston area fire stations are collecting toys.  See list.
Toy donations will be accepted December 2 thru December 20, 2011.

Places other than fire stations who are collecting toys.  See list and dates.

Toy Collections
The Tomball Fire Department located at 1200 Rudel Dr., Tomball, TX 77375 is having a toy collection for area children.  It's easy to get to and there is almost always someone there.  Toy drop offs are easy.  I was going past the fire department Tuesday night at around 8:00 p.m. and saw one of the firemen outside, so I swung in the parking lot and he helped me unload toys!

They will be collecting toys for area families until December 22, 2011.  For additional info, call Lisa (281) 351-7101.

Society of Samaritans, in the Magnolia, TX area, needs food and toy donations to assist families who are in need of food and toys. SOS North Pole toy shop is located at 38207 FM 1774 in Magnolia and will be accepting donations Monday through Saturday, noon to 8:00 p.m., up until the delivery date which will begin at 10:00 a.m. on December 19, 2011.  Toys should be new and unwrapped.  See www.sosnorthpole.com.  Or call 281-259-8452.

Hi Joyce, appears that the majority of the  communities have some kind of event to see that just about every child receives a toy....Hope your events are all successful.

Joyce, this is a great post, as so many children would not receive a toy for Christmas if not enough are donated!

Hi Ronald, I hope they are successful too.

Joan, I hear that there is more need this year than in previous years, so I hope each child receives toys.

Howdy and morning Joyce

Joyce,  I sure do hope the different organizations receive many toys from folks. You sure wrote and posted a mighty fine Localism blog post to help get the word out to folks. The organizations around my area have been having a hard time, because donations have been very low.

Have a good one

Hi Dale, Times are tough right now and I guess people have less to donate.  I hope those who have plenty though will think to share.
