Good morning...
I hope it was a good week and you're all getting into the
holiday spirit. There will be no Wrap Up email next Friday
(I know, I know) so soak in as much of this as you can!
The last few days in the markets have been somewhat
uneventful. Overnight trading volume has been low, and
the Dow has been quiet as well. The Consumer Price
Index remained unchanged for November.
In housing, the National Association of Realtors has
reported that median list prices on single-family homes
(including condos and town homes) rose slightly over 4.0%
in year-over-year comparison to 2010. The analysis suggests
that there are some signs of recovery and price stabilization
are appearing in many parts of the country. There were 146
metro areas reviewed, and only nine saw declines of more
than 5%.
Lastly, we implemented a Refinance Special, which will
run through the weekend. Basically, you can get the same rate
as you would on a purchase. For example, on a 30 year fixed
conventional loan, you can qualify for as low as 3.875%.
A 7 year ARM would be 2.875%! The Jumbo products are
not included, but the 30 year is in the mid-4% range. The
10 year Jumbo ARM (most popular) is now down to 3.375%!
Again, this special expires Sunday night. Please pass
